About me

Education & Early Career

I graduated from Newcastle University in 1985 with a BA (Hons) in History (2:1). I went on to complete the CPE and Solicitor’s Finals at the College of Law, Lancaster Gate between 1989 and 1991.

I began my legal career at Manches in London, training there from 1991 to 1993, and subsequently worked as an Assistant Solicitor in the Family Department until 2001.

A Trusted Family Law Expert with Over 30 Years of Experience

I have over 30 years’ experience as a family lawyer, having qualified in London at the renowned family law firm Manches. During my time there, I was part of a team that handled high-value cases and represented many well-known public figures.

In 2001, I relocated to Henley to be closer to my family and joined Blandy & Blandy, a respected firm in Reading. I remained there until 2010, when I had the opportunity to return to Manches to establish and lead their family law team in Reading. Under my leadership, the team flourished and was soon recognised in both Chambers and The Legal 500 as a leading family law practice in the region.

I began working as a self consultant in July 2025 for multi service law firm Bexley Beaumont. Set up in 2020 by Karen Bexley and Anna Beaumont. They had a vision of setting up a firm which combines the traditional law firm but with a fee sharing model. Already Bexley Beaumont has been nominated and won multiple awards. Bb promotes a genuinely collaborative culture. There is no hierarchy and everyone is equal. We are have autonomy as to what fees we charge and how much work we do. It is a hybrid model and we can choose when and if we go to the office or work from home Bexley Beaumont only employ the most experienced and talented lawyers and therefore I feel honoured to work for Bexley Beaumont along with all my other highly talented colleagues.
